Steve Crow's love of trap shooting led him to start selling shotshell components to fellow shotgunners in 1984. Steve and his wife, Brenda, ran their part-time business from their garage in Victor, Iowa, and soon discovered their customers also wanted to buy loaded ammunition, reloading equipment and shooting accessories in addition to bags of lead shot and plastic shotgun wads.

Over the next 10 years, the part-time business grew so much that Steve and Brenda decided to devote themselves to Crow Shooting Supply full-time. By 2004, they had to build a warehouse facility in Brooklyn, Iowa, to contain their rapidly expanding business and growing inventory of ammunition, reloading equipment and shooting accessories. In 2013, Crow Shooting Supply began distributing complete firearms and now offers many major brands.
