This AR-15 Scope Mount is part of The Geissele® SOPMOD Certified Series features Geissele® products currently in use by top tier military and counter-terrorism units throughout the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSO® COM). SOPMOD is a USSOCOM program that allows Special Operations personnel to configure their weapons to individual preferences and mission requirements. The program is an approved accessory system for the M4A1 carbine, FN SCAR Mk 16/17 and other weapons used by USSOCOM. Every Geissele® item offered in the Geissele® SOPMOD series line has been put through rigorous U.S. Government testing and certification by USSOCOM.

These optic mounts are machined from a single 4.5 pound block of aircraft grade 7075 -T6 billet aluminum. The individually serialized scope caps are line bored with the body and created in a single operation, creating the best possible fit to the body of the optic. Geissele® mounts are locked in place utilizing the classic, proven nut and clamp system, which provides 1,400 pounds of clamping force per nut. This system provides up to 3 times more clamping force than any lever system, while precision machined shear lugs help lock the optic in place on the receiver during recoil. The mounting surface spans 8 picatinny sections.
