Polishing abrasives have a myriad of uses in the shop. Cream Bobbing abrasive is coarse and aggressive for starting on metals with a rough surface. Brown Tripoli general purpose compound is a medium abrasive and safe for all metals. Gray Star is a medium cutting compound for harder metals like steel. White Ice is a fine abrasive compound for softer metals that require a delicate touch or as the final step in polishing steel. Green Flexible Multi-Purpose has a medium-to-fine cut and is safe for all metals; a good, all-around polish. Plastic Blue gives a mirror-smooth finish to acrylic, plastic, or fiberglass. Works great on plastic grip caps or forend tips. Green Rouge is a good choice for nickel, silver, or white gold. Blizzard Premium is a white compound that leaves an almost mirror finish on harder metals.
